Gijs Hillenius is an independent IT journalist, who writes for the Open Source Observatory, a project by the European Commission’s ISA Programme since 2007. Formerly known as OSOR, the observatory is part of ISA’s Joinup Project.

Adam Cooper
Adam joined the Institute of Educational Cybernetics at the University of Bolton in 2006 as Deputy Director of JISC CETIS.
His professional history has included a range of roles within further and higher education and educational technology. He has broad interests in pragmatic educational technology and interoperability and a strong belief that educational technology developed in tandem with progressive educational methods has a great deal of unrealised potential.
He is a member of the Education Schools and Childrens Services Information Standards Board and chair of the British Standards Institute Committee IST/43.
