Introduction

Government Procurement Service Supplier

What is G-Cloud?

G-Cloud is a UK Government programme to achieve fundamental changes in the way the UK public sector procures and operates ICT. It is a cross-government initiative carried out under the direction of the Chief Information Officer Delivery Board as part of the Government ICT Strategy.

What is the CloudStore?

The CloudStore is a new way for public sector organisations to buy IT products and services. All the services listed on the CloudStore are part of the G-Cloud framework agreement, and are immediately available for the public sector to procure and use.

Why should you use the CloudStore?

  1. You don’t need to go through time and expense by issuing OJEUs.
  2. You have the assurance that every product and service in the catalogue as been accredited to Government standards.
  3. You will always use suppliers that are approved by Government as being agile, efficient and offering value for money.
  4. You can find low cost and high quality solutions simply.

Procuring OSS Watch services through the G-Cloud Cloudstore

Because OSS Watch has been approved as a G-Cloud supplier, this means that you can now procure our services quickly, easily and cheaply through the Cloudstore. This includes both our general consultancy services for advising public sector organisations about open source software, and our support for the procurement process using SSMM. Both of these are offered through “Lot 4 Specialist Cloud Services”; we don’t offer any other services through G-Cloud and are able to provide independent advice and guidance to clients.

There is also a plain English guide to purchasing on the G-Cloud site.
